Jacob began his legal career as a Florida state prosecutor where he tried 30 jury trials, argued numerous motions, and handled hundreds of criminal cases from inception to resolution. In 2018, he received the Silver Tie Award for excellence in trial advocacy. This experience not only made him adept in the courtroom, it gave him valuable insight for negotiating plea deals and finding the route to the best outcome for criminal clients.

He later worked as in-house counsel for one of the largest home and auto insurers in the world as well as one of the largest insurance defense firms in the U.S. In these roles, Jacob handled many 6 and 7 figure cases that ranged from auto accident cases, wrongful death claims, professional malpractice claims, and complex construction defect matters.

Jacob’s experience as a prosecutor and insurance defense attorney has equipped him with valuable insight into the tactics used by the opposition. Because of his wide range of experiences, he knows what your adversary is looking for and how to strategically apply pressure to obtain the best possible outcome. Jacob believes in personalized, skilled representation and brings a finesse to each case, ensuring that his clients benefit from his comprehensive understanding of the legal system.

Jacob Jones obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida and his law degree from Syracuse University. His academic background laid a strong foundation for his successful career in law, providing him with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the courtroom.

During his tenure at UCF, he conducted several mock trials in his criminal law and evidence courses. While studying at Syracuse University, Jacob continued to develop his courtroom skills by taking several trial and appellate advocacy courses and by competing in various trial and appellate competitions. It was through one of these competitions that he and co-founder Jordan Meeks first realized they make a formidable and effective legal team.

When he’s not in the courtroom, Jacob enjoys writing screenplays, lifting weights, and exploring Nashville’s incredible restaurant scene with his wife. He is also an avid Brazilian jiu jitsu practitioner.
